Election Day is Tuesday, November 4, 2025
The only item on the Beverly Hills ballot is Prop 50, the Election Rigging Response Act. We advocate voting yes for the following reasons:
Levels the playing field. Prop 50 ensures the 2026 mid-term elections are conducted on a level playing field, without giving other States that change their maps an unfair advantage to skew the makeup of the United States Congress against California values and toward single party rule.
Commits to fair redistricting. Prop 50 reaffirms California's commitment to independent redistricting and calls on all states to commit to fair and impartial maps.
Gives voters the power. Prop 50 gives voters the power to approve emergency congressional district maps.
It is fair and proportional. Prop 50 provides emergency maps ONLY because Republicans in other states, like Texas and Missouri, have already moved forward with their own redrawn maps with more states like North Carolina and Virginia pondering the same.
It is Temporary! These new maps expire in 2030. Prop 50 preserves California's redistricting reforms and reaffirms the California Redistricting Commission's authority to draw congressional districts after the next census.
